Swimming

Mimi took Andrew swimming at Mom Helen's pool. When Mimi brought Andrew home, she asked me how many times he had gone swimming with his floaties. I told her that he had only gone once before and he still wanted someone to hold on to him. She said that he swam all the way across the pool by himself with the floaties on. He was so proud.

Choo Choo

Last Wednesday, Andrew went took the train with Grandma and Grandpa down to San Juan Capistrano. They visited the zoo and had lunch at El Adobe. Andrew had so much fun. He was able to pet many of the animals and got to hold a guinea pig. He said that the guinea pig was crying and wanted to get down. I can't believe how big he is getting. He loves to go places with Grandma and Grandpa.

Beach House

Every year Mimi and Papa Dirck get a beach house. We always go and visit a couple of times during the week. You had a great time playing in the sand, digging holes, and flying the kite that Mimi bought for you. You didn't want anything to do with the water. You were afraid that it would take you away. You ran back and forth many times from the house and the water. On the way home, you were so exhausted that you fell asleep in the car. You have never been a car sleeper. When we got home, daddy took you out of the car and you were so groggy that you sat down on the driveway and it looked like you were going to lay down there and go back to sleep. Daddy picked you up, carried you in the house and laid you down on the couch. You went back to sleep there for about another hour. I have never seen you so tired. I'm glad that you had so much fun.

Bunco

Last Friday, I was off to bunco and Andrew stopped me at the door and said that he wanted to tell me something. It went something like this.

"Mommy, be good at bunco...don't chase any of the kids around. Make sure that you are nice and don't run away from the kids and call them monsters."

We tell him to be good all the time when he goes places without us. I thought it was so cute.

6 months

Aaron had his 6 month doctor visit. He was 16lbs. 10 oz. and 27 inches long. He also has eczema. The doctor prescribed a stronger hydrocortisone cream and a body oil that has to be applied twice a day. It has been only 5 days since the doctor visit and his skin looks great. Hopefully this will take care of the issues that we have had. He seems to be sleeping better and he is all around more relaxed. I am so happy.
